PacketViper Names Pete Tseronis as Strategic Advisor

Pittsburgh, PA, October 10, 2019 – PacketViper, LLC, a leading provider of cybersecurity deception solutions, today announced that it has appointed Pete Tseronis, a thought leader and change agent across public and private sectors, as a strategic advisor to help inform corporate strategy pertaining to the cyber defense of our Nation’s 16 critical infrastructure sectors.

“Our critical infrastructure assets are increasingly rich targets for adversaries, while at the same time we are noticing an exponential expanse of our threat landscape and associated vulnerabilities resulting from the convergence of OT and IT networks. As such, it is paramount that we develop and deploy risk-mitigating solutions in anticipation of increasingly sophisticated threats,” said Tseronis. “PacketViper presents a differentiating, adaptive approach aligned with our country’s mission to secure critical infrastructure and enable cyber-physical systems resiliency.”

“We are excited to leverage Pete’s passion for facilitating digital transformations for our clients in both public and private sectors,” commented PacketViper CEO Francesco Trama. “As Chairperson for the Global City Teams Challenge Utility SuperCluster, he brings his dedication to the establishment and demonstration of replicable, scalable, and sustainable models.”

A critical infrastructure strategist focused on the triage of emerging technology, advanced analytics, and cyber-physical systems, Tseronis’ leadership across myriad Cabinet-level and commercial entities is unique. As the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DoE) first-ever appointed Chief Technology Officer, Pete worked closely with the National Laboratories to promote technology transfer and commercialization initiatives. In 2015, Pete founded Dots and Bridges LLC, which provides strategic, technical, and operational services to clients throughout the business lifecycle, rooted in the cultivation, and fostering of relationships.

About PacketViper, LLC.
PacketViper is a lightweight, active cybersecurity deception solution using agentless internal and external deception decoys to prevent, detect and respond to threats automatically without complex orchestrations. Internal deception detects and responds to threats moving laterally within the network with virtually no false positives. External deception creates the appearance of a moving target, making the network harder to size up and keeping up to 70% of unwanted and uninvited threats off the network. PacketViper automatically applies threat intelligence and supports real-time policy enforcement. Our customers are in both the public and private sectors and cover multiple industries.
